Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Edheka Investment Company Limited (“EICL”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use this website, send us an enquiry or apply to become an Agent Partner. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the regulations and guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Who we are and how to contact us

The data controller is Edheka Investment Company Limited, Lagos, Nigeria. For any question about your personal data, or to exercise your rights, contact us at investments@edheka.com or on 0806 254 6799.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry (residential or corporate): your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, preferred contact method, where you are based (if you tell us), your organisation (if you tell us), your message, and the choices you make — development, residence, purpose, payment approach or nature of enquiry, and the price version shown to you.

When you apply to become an Agent Partner: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, location, and, if you provide them, your agency, years in real estate and a website or social profile. We do not collect bank details or identity documents through this website.

With every submission: the time you submitted, the version of the consent wording you agreed to, the page you submitted from and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example, which advert brought you to us). We also generate a reference number for your enquiry.

To prevent spam and abuse: a one-way scrambled form of your internet (IP) address is kept for 10 minutes to limit repeated submissions. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.

We do not use this website to collect sensitive personal data, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry and send you information about the development you asked about — based on your consent, and on taking steps at your request before any purchase agreement.
• To review your Agent Partner application and contact you about the programme — based on your consent.
• To keep the website and our records secure, prevent spam and keep an accurate record of consents — based on our legitimate interests.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations — where the law requires it.

We will not send you unrelated marketing unless you have separately agreed to it, and we do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

• EICL staff who handle sales, enquiries and the Agent Partner programme.
• Service providers who run the website and our email for us — currently our web host (Hosting.com) and our email provider — under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
• Professional advisers (such as lawyers or auditors) where needed, and public authorities where the law requires it.

If you are interested in financing at completion, we will not share your details with a lender or mortgage provider without asking you first.

WhatsApp and other links

If you choose to continue a conversation on WhatsApp, the message is sent from your own WhatsApp account and WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply. The website never sends WhatsApp messages on your behalf.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted by the Nigeria Data Protection Act, such as contractual protections or adequacy of the destination country’s data protection laws.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you go on to buy a residence — purchase records are then kept for as long as the law and our contract with you require.
• Agent Partner applications: up to 24 months after the application is decided, or for the life of the partnership and any legally required period afterwards.
• Anti-spam data: 10 minutes. Consent records: for as long as we hold the related enquiry.

How we protect it

Enquiries are stored in our website database and are visible only to authorised EICL staff. The website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and we limit access, keep software up to date and back up our data.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect what we did before you withdrew it). To exercise any of these rights, email investments@edheka.com; we will respond within the time the law requires.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) at ndpc.gov.ng.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for staff who sign in to manage the site. Our web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and Google can see your IP address. The chat button uses a standard WhatsApp link. If we add analytics in future, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where required.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The version and effective date at the top show when it last changed, and every enquiry records the version of the consent wording you agreed to.
